Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Ogbomoso,In Oyo State has started it's first semester harmattan 2015/2016 exams Today after nine(9) months closure of the University.

The current shutdown that rocked LAUTECH has caused a lot of controversies, and report has it that though students have resumed,Lecturers are still believed to be on strike. In a circular earlier distributed by management of LAUTECH and signed by Jacob Agboola, the school asked all academic and non-academic staff to resume, BUT lecturers had vowed not to resume even as students have resumed until their terms are met.

ASUU Chairman, LAUTECH Chapter Mr. Biodun Olaniran, stated :
“We have said until our demands are met, we will not resume and that is what we are doing today.lecturers received only a month salary out of the two months promised.

The students are excited as they will finally write their exam after a long break caused by the strike.Though some of the students are excited about the development, most are heart broken because most students are yet to Pay their Tuition fee because of the present economic situation, and the school management has Vowed not to allow any defaulter enter into the examination hall.
Exams starts Today Monday, March 20/2017 and will ends on Saturday April 15/2017 and 2nd Semester starts immediately on Monday April 17/2017 due to the long break in academic activities.

Anyway, we hereby wish all of the students a success in their exams.
